Star letter: Mad Men omission
By: Web Editor
Dear Classic American,...I thoroughly enjoyed the article in your October issue, Mad Man vs Mad Men by the late, great David E Davis Jr. I adore cars of this era, and the Continental and Riviera are among my very favourite American classics.
Davis was certainly one of of America’s very best and most influential automotive journalists, and among his many achievements he founded Automobile magazine. I was surprised that you omitted to mention that he sadly passed away on March 27 this year, having fallen victim to cancer. How about giving the great man an obituary?

This omission occurred as somewhere between the initial and final layout the box-out containing this information was omitted; on reflection we’ve decided that a more significant piece was fitting and you can read this in the News section.
