Leading classic motoring insurance specialist Footman James has increased its support of the UK’s biggest classic motoring event by becoming the title sponsor. The show will now be rebranded as the Footman James Classic Motor Show when it returns to Birmingham’s NEC from 12-14 November.
Paul Matthews, Footman James’ Managing Director, said: “We have sponsored the Classic Motor Show for 16 years now, and from day one, we have been immensely proud to support a show which is undoubtedly the flagship event of the classic vehicle movement.
“Therefore, we are delighted to announce our increased commitment to the show and the movement as a whole by signing this ground-breaking, three-year deal as title sponsor. The classics industry – like almost everything else recently – has gone through some very tough times, but the passion and commitment of everyone within the movement have pulled it through.
“That is why it is more important than ever to ensure that events which keep this valuable industry alive, by celebrating and securing the heritage of so many classic vehicles, are protected for the future.”
The place to share your passion for motoring, the Footman James Classic Motor Show enjoys attendances by around 90,000 enthusiasts from all over the World and spans five halls of the NEC. As part of the event, the show has also expanded to include the Footman James Classic Motorbike Show with two further halls dedicated to classics of the two-wheeled variety.
This gives enthusiasts over 1250 cars and 250 motorbikes to enjoy over the three show days as well as the Meguiar’s Club Showcase which showcases the best concours cars from club events throughout the year before crowning a winner. Visitors can also enjoy the Wheeler Dealer Live Stage hosted by the TV show’s presenters Mike Brewer and Edd China, the impressive Restoration Theatre and over 300 trade stands.
